Spurred by the glamour and intrigue of its Spring '06 recital tour to Rio de Janeiro, the Dartmouth College Glee Club presents a concert spanning 500 years and three continents: Europe, North America and South America. A panorama of cross-cultural music, the program includes Renaissance, Classical and popular songs from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Spain. Expect choral music full of marvel and spirit, both sacred and secular, from late Renaissance composer Tomás Luis de Vittoria to 21st-century Xavier Montsalvatge and from A Cidade Maravilhosa, “The Marvelous City.”
