From the soul of Brazil — the largest and only Portuguese-speaking country in South America — come the warm beautiful melodies of Bossa Nova, the hot driving rhythms of Samba and the fiery complex beats of Frevo. In this concert, the World Music Percussion Ensemble and special guests treat listeners to an all - Brazilian program of love songs, dance tunes, pieces by such greats as Sergio Mendes and Antonio Carlos Jobim, as well as original compositions by special guests Rafael Flores and David Newsam. Spring is in the air — the perfect time for hearts to open and feet to move to Brazil's diverse rhythms of passion!
