Here's your chance to be the actor as well as the audience. No need to rehearse or memorize lines. Just sit down, put on the headphones, follow the directions and feel the rush from relinquishing responsibility for what you say. You're the star of this two-person, half-hour play, and no one else is aware of the show. After their innovative stage works involving instructions to unrehearsed performers, Rotozaza—a cutting-edge UK performance group—daringly invites you to try it yourself at a coffee table in the Dartmouth Bookstore. Whether you sit down with a stranger or a friend, two different voices feed you lines, give you tasks around objects at the table and lead you into situations—often borrowed from film and theater. Step by step, you're directed through this spirited adventure, carefree for its surrender to a script and profound for its exposure to thoughts being turned into the right words at the right time.
