On a program with Shostakovich's dramatic Quartet No. 9 and Beethoven's dazzling Quartet in C Major, Op. 59, No. 3 “Rasumovsky,” the Ying—three siblings plus outstanding new member Frank Huang on violin—premieres a Hop co-commission by American composer Richard Danielpour, renowned for deeply emotional, rhythmically dynamic work. |
