Volunteer Usher ProgramThe Hopkins Center's Volunteer Usher program is a great way to get involved at the Hop. When you usher an event, you are welcome to bring a guest to usher with you, and stay to watch the rest of the show for free! Essential to the success of our live performances, Volunteer Ushers greet patrons as they enter the theater, walk them to their seats, provide them with programs, and return to the entrance to repeat the process (sometimes many times!). There is no color-specific dress code; we simply ask that you arrive in what is sometimes called "casual professional" attire. Assignments are determined by a computerized lottery, based on your specific show requests. Once a year, each September, the Hop Events Office conducts an open Volunteer Usher orientation & registration session. If you would like to become an Usher, please e-mail Hopkins.Center.Ushers@Dartmouth.EDU, and we will be certain to invite you to the next session. |
