On-line registration required; contestants will be emailed an audition date and time.

Open to entire Dartmouth undergraduate student population.

Auditions

Saturday & Sunday, January 28 & 29, 2012 | 12-5 pm
Faulkner Recital Hall | Not open to the public
Open to individuals who’ve completed on-line registration process. Late applicants will be accommodated if possible.

Students will be e-mailed a specific time slot in advance of their audition.

Please prepare a verse and chorus from one song of any genre to be sung a cappella. You may be asked to sing a second song or to sing with a piano. Entire audition not to exceed five minutes.

Semi Finals

Wednesday, February 1, 2012 | 7 pm
Spaulding Auditorium | Open to the public
General admission | $10 | Dartmouth students $3

Contestants will select one song (max. length five minutes) from a list of available karaoke songs. Accompaniment provided by karaoke machine. Each contestant will participate in 1-2 group numbers.  Finalists will be chosen through a combination of audience votes and judge’s scores.

Finals

Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, March 1, 2012

Friday, March 2, 2012 | 8 pm
Spaulding Auditorium | Open to the public
General admission | $19 | Dartmouth students $3 | All other students $10

Contestants will be provided vocal coaching sessions prior to finals.
Vocalists accompanied by live band.

Each contestant will sing two songs. One of their choice and one selected by Dartmouth Idol production team. Participants may also sing in group numbers.

All listed prices (except Dartmouth student tickets) include $3 per ticket processing fee. Members and Subscribers are exempt from this charge. Applies to all online, phone and window purchases.
