Eyewash Film & Video series with Peter Burr
Named after one of the lyrical abstract films of Robert Breer, the EYEWASH series brings prominent film and video artists to Dartmouth. Each guest presents a curated program of shorts and participates in a Q&A with the audience.
A Brooklyn-based artist, Peter Burr is the founder of CARTUNE XPREZ, an animation project that has toured 20 countries over the past five years to present site-specific cartoon events. Part live theater, part psychedelic insurrection, and part roadshow, Burr’s work has become a touchstone for an experimental genre that moves from Sunday morning cartoons to the extent of anarchy.
Created by Prof. Jodie Mack, EYEWASH is co-sponsored by Film and Media Studies and the Hood Museum of Art.
