Kronos Quartet

World Premiere/Commission

Kronos is one of the most celebrated and influential string quartets of our time, with an extraordinary catalogue of recordings, commissions and collaborations with many fascinating composers and performers. The Grammy-winning “chamber ensemble [with] the mind-set of a rock band” (Washington Post) returns with works by jazz composer Maria Schneider, Serbia’s Aleksandra Vrebalov and Bryce Dessner of indie rock band The National. The program also includes the world premiere of Clouded Yellow, a Hop co-commission by Michael Gordon, co-founder of the inventive new music collective Bang On A Can All-Stars.
