Radio Macbeth

co-directed by Anne Bogart and Darron L. West
created and performed by SITI Company
adapted from the play by William Shakespeare

One of Shakespeare’s darkest dramas takes on added madness and mystery in this production by the brilliant SITI Company, directed by MacArthur “genius grant” fellow Anne Bogart. In the gloom of an abandoned theater circa 1940, seven radio actors gather to rehearse Macbeth but find themselves unhinged by the spirits of ambition, violence and vengeance the play unleashes. Through superb acting, sleek period costumes and thrilling, chilling scenic effects, the production sheds new light on this classic tale of power-lust.
