Scottish Chamber Orchestra

with Piotr Anderszewski piano

Internationally celebrated for the originality of his interpretations and his “sensitive touch and potent imagination” (The New York Times), the Polish-born Anderszewski returns to the Hop to perform with and conduct the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. With the SCO, winner of international awards for its recent Mozart recording, Anderszewski plays Mozart piano concertos No. 27 in B flat and No. 20 in D minor, Beethoven’s Scenes from Prometheus and Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides Overture. Expect from Anderszewski “spine-tingling technique [and] pin-prick accuracy…his tone is incandescent” (Los Angeles Times).
