Don't let this happen to you! Come on down and become acquainted with the Davidson Pottery Workshop. All skill levels welcomed including no skill! The Frederick A. Davidson '14 Pottery Studio is just across the Ledyard Bridge in the small brick building on Ledyard Lane in Norwich just a lovely 10-minute walk from campus. At the Davidson Pottery Studio we encourage all skill levels to work in clay, an enjoyable and relaxing medium. Hand building, throwing on the potters wheel, glazing and firing are all done on site. We use high temperature reduction fired glazes that are beautiful and safe for tableware. Come down, see what you can make, and learn more! Costs:$10 per term or $25 for the year (the year fee is offered Fall Term-a great value!) for use of all three Student Workshops. You can sign up for the term when you arrive at the Pottery Studio. Materials charges are $1 per pound of clay. Most students start with a $6 bag of clay (cash or Dash). Glazes and firing are included in the clay charges. Davidson Pottery opens for Spring Term on Tuesday, March 25 at 1 pm.The Pottery Studio is available for use by fully enrolled Dartmouth students and faculty members. For more information |
