SPECIAL FOCUS WORKSHOPS:

Clay Mold Making and a Different Approach to Glazing

with visiting ceramic artist Holly Walker

Friday, April 18, 1-4 pm (open to all students - no sign up necessary for this afternoon workshop)

  • Many hand built pottery forms can benefit from being started on a fired clay mold. Come learn how to build and carve simple clay molds in part one of this afternoon demonstration. Part two will explore hand painting glazes on pottery forms. This technique often inspires fresh thinking about the relationship of a form to its surface. Bring a bisqued pot if you'd like.
