Louis Burkot, director
Fauré’s Requiem and traditional Glee Club favorites in this swan-song concert by director Burkot.
Burkot’s last concert before retiring as Glee director centers on Fauré’s tender, light-filled Requiem in D minor—a signature work during Burkot’s four decades leading the chorus—as well as a host of traditional Glee Club favorites.
Led by nationally acclaimed opera conductor and master teacher Burkot, this 40-voice, all-student ensemble has a broad repertoire that spans four centuries. With a signature sound—energetic and finely tuned—and exceptionally talented student soloists, the Glee Club embodies the beauty and power of the human voice.
