On the Basis of Sex
The notorious RBG (Felicity Jones) argues a landmark gender discrimination case before the US Court of Appeals in this spirited biopic.
Academy Award nominee Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything) stars in the inspiring and spirited true story of young lawyer Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Having graduated at the top of her law class, she still encounters difficulty in getting a job in the male-dominated field of law. Pursuing gender equality issues before they were acknowledged as an issue, she teams with her supportive husband Marty (Armie Hammer, Call Me by Your Name) to bring a risky and groundbreaking case before the U.S. Supreme Court and overturn a century of gender discrimination.
A wonderful counterpoint to last spring’s hit documentary RBG, this stirring biopic continues to celebrate Ginsburg’s courage, brilliance and fierce determination to become a U.S. Supreme Court Justice. Its release coincides with Justice Ginsburg’s 25th Anniversary on the Supreme Court.
