Spring 2020 FAQ

What Hop Events have been canceled?

The Hop has postponed or canceled all Hop events scheduled to take place before May 31, 2020. You can find the list of postponed events, as well as the status of all upcoming Hop performances on our Hop Event Status page.

When will postponed events be rescheduled?

We are confident that we will be able to reschedule the majority of the fantastic performances affected by this situation, and we have already begun working with our artists and collaborators to explore possibilities. Over the upcoming weeks, we will continue to keep this Hop Event Status page up to date. As soon as we are able to confirm new dates for a rescheduled event, we will email past ticket holders directly with information about securing new tickets.

Information on postponed events that were to be hosted by the Hop, but produced by outside partners, will be managed by those partners on their websites.

What about my tickets to one of these postponed events?

The cost of your ticket(s), including any ticketing fees, will be automatically returned to your Hop account as non-expiring credit, and no other action is needed from you at this time.

Within two weeks, we will send you an email with the updated balance in your Hop account. This balance can be applied toward any tickets you purchase for performances, including films and next season's events. All you will need to do to use this credit is contact the Hop Box Office when you decide to purchase tickets in the future.

The Box Office also does its best to identify online purchases by patrons who have an unused account balance. In those cases, we'll apply the credit to your recent online transaction, issue you any refund required, and email you a confirmation message.

Can I offer my tickets as a tax-deductible donation?

If you would like to donate the full cost of your ticket to the Hop, please email [email protected] and note the performances for which you have tickets to donate. This donation will be tax-deductible to the full extent of the law, and you can expect to receive a donation acknowledgment within 2 weeks.

Can I get a refund?

If you would like a refund for a postponed or canceled performance, please email [email protected] with the name of the performances for which you would like full refunds. If you are unsure of what these performances are, we will let you know in an email reply within a couple days. Please allow 5 business days for any refunds to be processed and reflected in your bank statements. In the event that we are unable to return funds to your original payment source, the box office will reach out to you individually.
