Los Angeles Guitar Quartet
Grammy-winning foursome plays Bach, the music of Brazil and a Hop co-commission from Pat Metheny.
“One of the finest guitar quartets in the world.”
World-renowned for stunning precision, abundant tonal colors and buoyant music-making, the Grammy-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet performs a program including the Hop co-commissioned Road to the Sun, written expressly for the group by guitarist Pat Metheny. Complementing this expansive musical journey (inspired by Montana’s Glacier National Park!) are LAGQ’s own arrangements of J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 6, Brazilian jazz and music from the time of Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes.
