Community Ticket Program

The Community Ticket Program serves under-resourced community members, offering arts experiences at no cost through long-term partnerships with several Upper Valley community organizations.

What is the program?

We believe everyone should have the ability to experience the transformative and invigorating power of the arts. Many factors can make it challenging for people to access the arts, including ticket costs, lack of transportation, age and disability status. The Community Ticket Program aims to remove the barrier of ticket price and support under-resourced community members' ability to participate in Hopkins Center programming. Community Ticket Partner (CTP) organizations can secure tickets to any and all public Hopkins Center performances and movies; organizations make selections based on the needs and interests of their constituents. Over 500 free tickets are distributed annually and attendees are invited to special events with artists.

How does it work?

Depending on the organization's size and the scope of its constituency, the Hopkins Center subsidizes $400-$900 of that CTP's ticket costs each year. At the beginning of each season and throughout the year, CTPs request tickets to the shows and films that they would like to see. Each partner designates a contact person within their organization to be the liaison between their constituents and the Hopkins Center. CTPs are encouraged to request multiple tickets for events so that a group of their community members can attend together.

How do I become a Community Ticket Partner?

There is not a formal application process to participate in the program. However, the Hopkins Center prioritizes organizations that have demonstrated a strong, longstanding commitment to supporting vulnerable community members and who will be communicative and strategic partners in broadening access to the arts across our region. If you think your organization aligns with the program, please reach out to us.
