View the Films×The environmental humanities explore the complex relationships between humans and our natural surroundings through a transdisciplinary lens, bridging disciplines of literature, history, cultural studies and the arts. Exploring critical environmental issues from cultural, ethical and embodied viewpoints fosters a holistic understanding of ecological challenges, adding to the scientific and technical discourse. Artistic expression deepens our connection to the natural world, inspires ecological awareness and moves us to action.
This year, we are proud to join forces with our community of scholars, students and environmental action partners as part of the Dartmouth Climate Collaborative to shed light on one of the most pressing issues of our time. Our artists will lend their creative voices to the campus-wide initiative addressing climate change and sustainability through performances, discussions and community engagements.
