Each spring, the Hop gathers together its community to honor and present awards to Dartmouth undergraduates and graduate students who have excelled in the arts—delighting us during their time on campus with great musical, theater and dance performances and marvelous film and video.
This year we are honored to welcome guest speaker Nona Hendryx to address the students.

Her career began as a founding member of Labelle, achieving fame with the No.1 worldwide hit Lady Marmalade, and she has since forged a successful solo career, marked by top ten hits and a Grammy nomination. Her work extends beyond music to activism, advocating for social justice and women's rights, and promoting STEM education for young women of color through her nonprofit SisterSMATR.org. A pioneer in merging art with technology, Hendryx leads in the realm of afrofuturism, crafting captivating XR installations that weave together Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.
