Swing by the Hood Museum of Art, the Black Family Visual Arts Center and the Literary Arts Bridge to get a sense of all the happenings in Dartmouth's vibrant Arts District.
With the newly reimagined Hopkins Center, Dartmouth's Arts District is now complete! If you have time before and after other events on your weekend itinerary, we invite you to check out these exhibitions and opportunities to meet our colleagues in the academic arts departments.
Hopkins Center for the Arts
10 am–12 pm in the Roth Forum, there will be a mini-marketplace of arts offerings within the building, including information about the Department of Music and Department of Theater.
12:30–10:00 pm in the Jaffe-Friede Gallery, curated by the Department of Studio Art.

Hood Museum of Art
Open Saturday from 10 am–5 pm. Connected to the Hop near the Courtyard Cafe, or outside on the plaza.
We invite you to check out these special exhibits:
Make Space, a popular creative space in our second floor galleries, great for adults and children alike
Visual Kinship, a major exhibition on photography's role in reflecting and reimagining the concept of family.
Always Already: Abstraction in the United States, which includes some works that were originally displayed at the Hop!
Black Family Visual Arts Center
Located at 22 Lebanon St, a short walk from the Hop through the Maffei Plaza.
Department of Film & Media Studies
10 am–2 pm in the Nearburg Forum, Sydney Losser will have a workshop table for "memory core weaving," a unique way to render digital constructs as tactile projects.
Department of Studio Art
12:30–8:30 pm in Gallery Room 102, an exhibition by Artist-in-Residence: Joseph Buckley, Window of Appearances
The Literary Arts Bridge
Located at 7 Lebanon Street, entrance off the patio next to Dunk's Sports Grill
10 am–12 pm, stop by to see the brand new campus hub for creative writing discussions, classes and special events.
