Wes Anderson goes west!
23/24 Hop FilmWith a retinue of stars too extensive to list (Tom Hanks and Scarlett Johansson, to name a couple), Wes Anderson takes to the American West. In a fictional city circa 1955, a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention gathers. Parents and children are poised to scour the night skies when a sudden alien encounter disrupts their itinerary. With an intergalactic twist on typical Anderson fare, Asteroid City ventures into cosmic, dreamy places heretofore unexplored by the revered filmmaker.
Join us for a post-screening star-gazing party on the Dartmouth Green, made possible by the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy.

“So crushingly beautiful and well-earned that the artifice surrounding it simply falls away.”
