An eventful road movie with all the elements of a self-respecting western unfolds (good guys and bad guys, a resourceful and Huckleberry Finn-like orphan, a plucky widow, etc.) taking place against striking, hand-drawn vistas. Taking the top prize at the Annecy Animation Festival, this feminist coming-of-age tale is rollicking family-friendly fun, with a story that is dynamic, touching and relevant.
