Join us for a special members-only virtual cocktail party with Dartmouth Wind Ensemble Conductor Brian Messier, followed by a video of the DCWE's winter concert.

[email protected]

In this members-only chat, Messier will share about his first year as the DCWE's conductor, his recent composition competition and preliminary plans for a collaboration with the Dartmouth Dance Ensemble, and he'll introduce the concert we'll be viewing. Oliver Caplan '04, whose commissioned symphony the DCWE premiered last fall, will hop in and say hello! After the Member Zoom, tune in to watch a video of the concert, a program of varied music tracing the arc of a single day.

Brian directs both the DCWE and the Dartmouth College Marching Band. He is former Artist in Residence in Winds and Director of the Wind Ensemble at Williams College and Artistic/Managing Director of The Valley Winds based in Massachusetts' Pioneer Valley. He's a leader in developing innovative programs for engaging new audiences for wind band music, and is in high demand as a clinician and guest conductor.
