The Culley Concerto Competition is open to all students enrolled at Dartmouth College, offering performers of woodwind, brass, string and percussion instruments the opportunity to perform a solo work of their choosing. Each performer in the competition, competing in one of three categories (strings, woodwinds or brass/percussion), will receive written comments and scores from a panel of judges, who will award prizes for Best Overall Performance ($500); 1st Prize in each category ($300); and 2nd Prize in each category ($100).

In this virtual performance, the 16 participating students worked with an accompanist to develop a custom accompaniment. The students then recorded themselves performing their three to five minute solo with the pre-recorded accompaniment and submitted their performance for review by an international panel of judges. The concert event will feature excerpts of each student performance and complete performances by the winning students.
