An estranged father (Patton Oswalt) catfishes his son in a desperate attempt to reconnect in this very funny and deeply uncomfortable comedy. Virtual post-film Q&A with director/star James Morosini.
22/23 Hop Film
Even while juggling another illicit romance with his boss (Rachel Dratch '88), Chuck manages to keep up the facade and pose on Facebook as the girl of his son's dreams for weeks. He gets to see a new side of his son, learn about his dreams of becoming a videogame designer, hear his deepest fears…and desires.
Of course, this inexplicable plan goes disastrously wrong when his lovestruck son decides he wants to visit his new "girlfriend." James Morosini as writer/director/star mines a true story from his own life for this outrageous family comedy, which fearlessly straddles the lines between cringey, hilarious and heartfelt.
