Nona Hendryx, an American vocalist, songwriter and multimedia artist, has made a profound impact on the music industry with her unique sound and style. Her career began as a founding member of Labelle, achieving fame with the No.1 worldwide hit Lady Marmalade, and she has since forged a successful solo career, marked by top ten hits and a Grammy nomination. Her work extends beyond music to activism, advocating for social justice and women's rights, and promoting STEM education for young women of color through her nonprofit SisterSMATR.org. A pioneer in merging art with technology, Hendryx leads in the realm of afrofuturism, crafting captivating XR installations that weave together Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. Her recent work includes directing the multi-disciplinary performance A Rose Out Of Concrete, as the Ambassador for Artistry in Music for Berklee College in Boston Conservatory and Berklee NYC and serving as Joe's Pub's first Vanguard Residency Artist, showcasing her continuous innovation and influence.
