with director Jeremy Teicher '10 in personAlexi Pappas '11 and RZA star in this comedy about an artist-in-residency program where the attendees must unlock their full creative potential or abandon art forever.
DFS 75th Alumni Fest (Nov 7-10)The story takes place at an exclusive artist-in-residency program. Run by a mysterious patron, played by RZA, artists in turmoil face an ultimatum. A young artist (Alexi Pappas '11) signs a contract to unlock their full creative potential or abandon art forever. Then an outsider, played by Matt Walsh (Ted, The Hangover), shows up and creates problems for the program and the participants. How each artist deals with frustration, temptation, intimidation and confusion makes for an interesting story and opportunities for humor.
Alexi Pappas '11 taps into her background with the Upright Citizens Brigade and Second City for the film's heavily improved script, giving this film a raw and real quality which celebrates the messiness of the creative process.
