Peilin Chou, P.G.A. (Producer) is the Creative Officer for Pearl Studio and a producer for Netflix Animation whose career in content creation spans 20+ years encompassing the realms of film, television and theater at Disney and Dreamworks.

Marjorie Duffield (Songwriter) is a lyricist, playwright and screenwriter. She wrote Betterthandead, a feature-length film and episodes of the TV series Caged. Her extensive theater credits include Ice Island: The Wait for Shackleton and In the Lake of Fire.

About Over the Moon

Fueled by memories of her mother, resourceful 14-year-old Fei Fei (Cathy Ang) builds a rocket to the moon on a mission to prove the existence of a legendary moon goddess. With an all-star, all-Asian voice cast (including Phillipa Soo, John Cho, Sandra Oh and Margaret Cho), Moon celebrates Chinese culture as no mainstream American toon — not even Mulan — has before. Animation legend Glen Keane (creator of Ariel, Aladdin and the Beast) makes his long-overdue feature directing debut with this incandescent Chinese-American co-production. Not surprisingly, the visuals are gorgeous, mind-blowing, nearly everything (and everyone) in the moon world of Lunaria seems to glow with an intense inner light. With Moon, Netflix enters the major league animation game with this ambitious outer-space fantasy musical that today's kids will hold as a generational touchstone. D: Glen Keane, US/China, 2020, 1h40m

It’s a fairy-tale about loss that becomes a boisterous techno-sci-fi extravaganza, and it takes place on two worlds that, at least at first glance, couldn’t be more different.
