The Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet is widely recognized as one of today's most compelling tango ensembles. Building on the legacy of Astor Piazzolla, they continue to explore new territories within the genre. With great respect for tango's roots and rich musical heritage, the ensemble serves as both an ambassador and an innovator of this art form. Their fervent and virtuosic style seamlessly blends elements of Argentine tango, European classical music and American jazz, creating something new and exciting while preserving the lush beauty that defines the genre.
Based in New York City, the ensemble is highly active, performing at prominent venues such as Lincoln Center, the Moab Music Festival, Chamber Music Raleigh, the Arizona Music Festival, and the Richmond, Lowell and Montana Folk Festivals. They have also appeared at BAM, NJPAC and the DiMenna Center. Their collaborations include performances with the Chesapeake Orchestra, Yonkers Philharmonic, Washington Heights Camerata and the UMBC Orchestra.
