Johnny GandelsmanIn the third annual collaboration between the Hopkins Center for the Arts, DEI at Tuck, and the Center for Entrepreneurship, violinist Johnny Gandelsman discusses his project This is America, which brings together nearly 30 composers from around the country to reflect on the challenges of the year 2020. Gandelsman's concept pilots novel ways of making socially engaged art that is financially sustaining for its creators. He is joined by Cristin Canterbury Bagnall, Founder and Managing Partner at BroadBand Collaborative, which supports artists, communities and creative projects.
The event will include a short performance of music from the project.
