Theater and Art on Screen

Theater & Art on Screen

Live theater, art exhibitions, ballets and concerts—and you've got the best seat in the house!

Filmed in high definition and with exclusive access, these singular "Event Cinema" shows are a terrific addition to our slate. State-of-the-art broadcasts capture live performances in all their glory, bringing the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Stratford Festival and the West End to our door! The art on screen offerings provide an unprecedented entree to blockbuster exhibitions and a new way to appreciate the works of the masters, larger than life on the big screen.

This fall's theater in HD selections all feature fierce and fearless female leads, starting with Phoebe Waller-Bridge's witty, filthy one-woman show Fleabag (which inspired the BBC series), the smash-hit musical Kinky Boots, and a reinterpretation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream that gives Titania (Gwendoline Christie) the last laugh. Then, for all of our art lovers, we round out our event cinema offerings with the Exhibition on Screen program Leonardo: The Works, marking the 500th anniversary of DaVinci's death with this high-def presentation of the artist's masterworks.
