The Culley Concerto Competition is an opportunity for Dartmouth instrumentalists to compete for cash prizes, receive feedback from an esteemed panel of judges, and potentially be given the opportunity to perform a concerto with the Dartmouth Symphony Orchestra or the Dartmouth College Wind Ensemble.
Competition Information
Saturday, April 23 in Spaulding Auditorium
1–5 pm: Competition Performance
6 pm: Award Presentation
The Culley Concerto Competition is open to all currently enrolled Dartmouth College students who play a string, woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument.
Students must be local during Spring '22 in order to participate.
Prizes
Grand Prize: $500; one recipient selected from all categories First Prize: $300; one recipient per category Second Prize: $100; one recipient per category
Performance Requirements
Works must be accompanied by the provided pianist and be no longer than 10 minutes in length.
Performances will take place in Spaulding Auditorium and be open to the public.
Performances will be video-recorded. These videos may be used for future marketing and publicity purposes by Dartmouth College and The Hopkins Center. Participants will receive a digital version of their recording.
By entering the competition, you give permission for Dartmouth College and the Hopkins Center for the Arts to use your performance video.
