A Letter from the Executive Director

Our stories. Our future.

"Let's make something together"  was our call to action last season as we prepared for a memorable opening weekend for our beloved Hop. Today,  I can safely say that you resoundingly answered the call!

Your imagination, enthusiasm and active participation have lifted hearts and minds, turning possibilities into shared experiences.

You showed us how much it matters  to be together; to share our stories; to truly get to know each other and even dance together! Not all arts should be experienced from a fixed seat and your participation makes all the difference.

The 2026/27 season reflects what we learned from you! Hamlet is seen through a new lens from Peru. Old friends bring us music and media as we look at our country's history. Artists join our community for longer stays, sharing their creative perspectives on our world. Traditions in dance, music and theater are celebrated with new creative techniques that deepen and extend local and global stories.

This season is yours—to deepen connections here and across the globe, and to experience and enjoy. Our stories stay with us and shape  our futures. Join us to share your stories and to imagine possibilities  for a better tomorrow.

With hope and joy from all of us at the Hop,
Mary Lou Aleskie
