Casablanca

May 21, 2026

Round up the usual suspects for this undisputed masterpiece starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, stuck in limbo in Nazi-occupied French Morocco.

Casablanca | 4K Trailer | Warner Bros. Entertainment

"Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine." That's Humphrey Bogart, of course, talking about his bar and about Ingrid Bergman in Nazi-occupied French Morocco—and it's just one of many iconic lines that come from this undisputed masterpiece, which has only improved with age.

The desperation for visas which infects central and side characters alike—as well as the corruption surrounding the process for securing them—resonates differently now. When Victor Laszlo leads the other Resistance sympathizers in a resounding chorus of La Marseillaise, the film shows how those who have found it necessary to leave their home country can still share with each other some national pride. Even if you've seen the film before, it's worth another look in the context of our current political moment—and definitely worth seeing again on the big screen.
