Fleabag

January 25, 2020

This event occurred as part of the 19/20 Art On Screen season. This is an archived view.

Written and performed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge ('Fleabag,' 'Killing Eve') this witty, filthy, go-for-broke comedy is a rip-roaring look at some sort of woman living her sort of life.

19/20 Art On Screen

Don't miss your chance to see the hilarious one-woman show that inspired the hit BBC series and played for sold-out audiences in New York and London.

Fleabag (the title character, whose real name we never learn) may seem oversexed, emotionally unfiltered and self-obsessed, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. With family and friendships under strain and a guinea-pig–themed café struggling to keep afloat, Fleabag suddenly finds herself with nothing to lose.

Note: Adult themes and content

“Never has being a modern woman seemed so painfully funny, brutal, and hopeless all at once.”

The Atlantic

“Don't Bother with Emmy Nominations, Just Give 'Fleabag' All the Awards Already. The pitch-black comedy about sex and trauma should take home everything.”
