The program of the Americas, entitled Be Glad Then, America will feature Ciudad Dormitorio by UNAM student Erick Tapia and In the Night, We Saw a Shadow, a work from the inaugural Composition Competition by Boston resident, Emi Nishida, ahead of launching the second round of the competition.

The Mexican Repertoire Initiative is a musical, cultural and diplomatic initiative committed to bringing Mexican repertoire to the international stage, providing opportunities for Mexican composers, combating institutionalized racism in educational and professional performing ensembles, and bringing artists together across borders.
