Through Hop Ensembles, Dartmouth students and members of the Upper Valley community come together to share a love for the arts. These immersive opportunities for creative expression through music, dance, and voice deepen the student experience and provide an artistic outlet for participants and audiences alike. Your generous and continued support as a Friend of Hop Ensembles connects students with visiting artists, supports domestic and international tours, allows for instrument maintenance and purchase and makes these world-class performances possible. The DCWE has continued to collaborate and was excited to welcome Latin grammy-winning trumpet virtuoso Pacho Flores and cuatro master Hector Molina to campus last October. We look forward to a world premiere by renowned Mexican composer Arturo Marquez on May 23, 2026!

The Handel Society most recently performed Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass this past November honoring dramatic and triumphant work composed during a turbulent time. Experience the Handel Society and the Glee Club joining forces on May 2, 2026 to present Mendelssohn’s Elijah.

Symphony Orchestra

Friends of Symphony Orchestra

The DSO has continued to expand their impact internationally, most recently coming back from a tour through Tuscany where members performed two works by Mahler: Songs of a Wayfarer and Symphony No. 1 Titan in Livorno, Lucca, Florence and Siena. This groundbreaking tour by Dartmouth was recognized by the President of Tuscany for its importance in bringing together four leading Italian music conservatories for artistic exchange and partnership. The DSO looks forward to their Winter performance on March 7, 2026!

Friends of Dartmouth Marching Band

The Marching Band celebrated the Big Green’s victory against Yale at Homecoming, and led the way for alumni and friends from the Green to the Hop for the opening performance on the Graves Stage in Spaulding Auditorium on Opening Weekend. The Band is preparing for another Big Green football win for 2026!
