Take FlightImani Winds
Take FlightSoaring melodies and fluttering rhythms come together as the classical ensemble takes birds as their inspiration.
Experience the world from above in this program exploring freedom, migration and the beauty of nature. From whimsical birdsong to sweeping improvisation, Take Flight draws lyrical connections among works by Mendelssohn, Charlie Parker, Augusta Read Thomas and more. Imani Winds shares this soaring program in the intimacy of the Recital Hall, before they perform alongside BodyVox.
