Learn the basic mechanics of pop-up books and make your own paper-art.
22/23 Youth & FamiliesThis workshop for older kids is led by the New Zealand-based company in connection with their dark fairytale The Bookbinder, which uses elaborate pop-up art and shadow puppetry to tell the story of a wayward apprentice getting lost in a book.
In this introduction to pop-up books and paper-art, participants will learn the basic mechanics of pop-ups by making a page from the show, before designing and making a pop-up page of their own.

Trick of the Light is an award-winning theatre company from Te Whanganui-A-Tara (Wellington) in Aotearoa / New Zealand, founded by Hannah Smith and Ralph McCubbin Howell.
