In The Half-God of Rainfall by Inua Ellams, a half Nigerian-mortal, half Greek-god takes a shot on a basketball court. The epic poem explores mythology, power and sport. This journey begins in a tiny village in South West Nigeria and takes him to an NBA arena in the United States and to the hallowed halls of Mount Olympus.
